Bolton's Broth (B02-132)

Bolton Broth is used for the selective enrichment of Campylobacter in food samples. It includes lactalbumin hydrolysate as a source of nitrogen, amino acids, vitamins and carbon specially indicated for Campylobacter growth. Alpha-ketoglutarate is also added to satisfy the nutritional requirements of Campylobacter. Hemin stimulates the growth of microorganisms, and the addition of Bolton Selective Supplement inhibits the growth of other bacteria, yeasts and molds.
