K Agar
K Agar is recommended for the isolation and cultivation of Alicyclobacillus in fruit juices. Meat Peptone provides nitrogenous compounds, while Yeast Extract is a source of B-complex vitamins and trace elements. Dextrose is the fermentable carbohydrate. Tween 80 is a surfactant that facilitates nutrient uptake by the bacteria. Agar is the gelifying agent.
