MACCONKEY AGAR W/O CRYSTAL VIOLET (M13-108)

MacConkey Agar without Crystal Violet is a modified version of the first media developed for the isolation of Gram negative enteric bacteria. It is intended for the isolation and detection of Enterobacteriae, and the absence of crystal violet allows for the growth of Enterococcus and some Staphylococcus species. Gram negative enteric bacteria which ferment lactose will produce red to pink colonies.
